Bestiario by Ramón Puyol
We first stumbled across the work of Spanish artist Ramón Puyol at Barcelona’s Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and immediately started plotting wall space we didn’t have. Created during one of Spain’s darkest chapters, these lithographs aren’t portraits as much as personality types. They’re the people every troubled society seems to produce—the bully, the strategist, the optimist, the pessimist, the survivor. Nearly a century later, they still feel uncomfortably current.
