Hidden among the paths of Parque del Centenario are a series of abstract animal figures that most visitors never notice. This gorilla is one of them.
Its looping lines somehow manage to suggest both surprising strength and surprising gentleness at the same time. Redrawn from the original walkway marking and printed on soft cotton, it’s a small piece of Mérida that followed me home.
