This design began life as a cast-iron Bureau of Sewers utility cover tucked into a Manhattan sidewalk. After decades of foot traffic, weather, and whatever else New York throws at its streets, we gave it a fresh coat of imaginary ink and transformed it into a bold block-print graphic
