Centenario Rhino T-Shirt

Sometimes the best souvenirs aren’t monuments—they’re painted onto the sidewalk.

While wandering through Parque del Centenario in Mérida, I became oddly fascinated by a series of abstract animal figures scattered along the park’s paths. Most visitors stepped right over them. I stopped to photograph every one I could find.

Back home, I cleaned up the originals into a series of bold line illustrations that still preserve the wonderfully playful spirit of the park. The rhino might be my favorite of the bunch—confident, slightly mischievous, and somehow unmistakably rhinoceros-y despite being only a handful of sweeping lines.

Printed on soft cotton, this shirt celebrates one of those tiny travel discoveries that most people never notice until someone points it out.
