Renaissance Ballroom Greeting Card
Some buildings leave behind bricks. Others leave stories.
The Renaissance Ballroom opened in Harlem in 1921 as one of the neighborhood’s premier gathering places—a venue where music, dancing, sports, celebrations, and community life all shared the same floor. Built by Black investors during the Harlem Renaissance, it stood as both a cultural landmark and a symbol of ambition, ownership, and pride.
This card reproduces a vintage promotional image from the ballroom’s heyday, complete with its original address at 7th Ave & 138th St and the delightfully old-fashioned telephone exchange, ALgonquin 3-1945. We restored the artwork while preserving its historic character, celebrating a place that helped define one of America’s greatest cultural movements.
Blank inside, it’s ready for your own message—whether that’s a birthday wish, a thank-you note, or simply a reminder that the best stories deserve to keep circulating.
